2011 Jeanneau 409 SunOdyssey 2 Cabin Layout

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 409 has one of the brightest and spacious salon in her class. The 2-Cabin, 1-head layout is perfect for couples with guests and families.  The interior is absolutely immaculate, with traditional L-Shaped Galley to starboard, Main Salon with seating opposite, and 2 large cabins, the forward Owner’s Cabin and the Guest Cabin aft of the Galley. There is 6 4 “standing headroom.

The interior finish is high end with grey colored upholstery in excellent condition complimented by lots of light wood timber finishes. The teak & holly cabin sole is offset by the Corian-like worktops in the kitchen. The atmosphere is bright and airy thanks to the deck portholes offering visibility to the outside. There is lots of light and ventilation to make this a really comfortable space to spend time in. 

The dominant feature in the Main Salon is the fold-over dinette table to starboard, which can easily accommodate 6 for dinner.  Mounted on a fixed central pedestal, the dinette can be quickly lowered to convert the wrap-around settee into a double berth.

SEMPER FIDELIS features the popular (2) two-stateroom layout. In this configuration, you enjoy a very large forward Owner’s Stateroom with a wide V-berth, and an ensuite office desk/vanity. The Guest Stateroom is aft to starboard with entry thru the Galley. The Guest Stateroom features a hanging locker and offers access to the back of the engine compartment. 

The Galley is aft to starboard, near the companionway. It features a large top-loading Frigo reefer with a very efficient three-stage compressor. The interior of the reefer box is well organized and easy to access. The galley has tons of storage space.

The Head is located to port as you descend the companionway stairs. The head is quite spacious and features a separate shower. Additionally, accessible through the head, there is also a large, dedicated “GARAGE" storage/systems space.

SEMPER FIDELIS boasts a large Cockpit and features a fold-down swim platform instead of a full-size sugar scoop. A generous solid cockpit table provides a strong brace point amidships, and the bench seats have high, comfortable seatbacks. The two shallow cockpit lockers are also easily accessible.

The forward deck is clean and uncluttered, with all working lines routed through conduits underneath. With both the main and the jib sheets led aft to the helm positions, it’s possible for the helmsperson to control both the main and jib without leaving the wheels. All lines lead to the cockpit for easy single/short handed sailing.

SEMPER FIDELIS is a blast to race and a dream to sail  ! The 409 features a double-ended German mainsheet system, with both sides of the sheet led all the way aft to the twin wheels. 

SEMPER FIDELIS is equipped with Harken’s Rewind Radial Electric Winches. In one setting, you can use the two buttons in a high-speed/low-power mode or a slow-speed/high power mode—so far, just like any other electric winch. But by flipping a switch on the winch drum, you can do what no production-boat electric winch has let you do before: ease a line under load, safely and easily, without stripping it from the self-tailer. Harken’s new radial drum design promises to prevent overrides as well! You can both trim and ease a line without touching it.

With the jibsheets also led aft to the helm positions, it’s possible for the helmsperson to control both the main and jib without leaving the wheels.

SEMPER FIDELIS was purchased in 2011 by her very experienced owners. She was commissioned in TX where her owners enjoyed racing her. In 2019 SEMPER FIDELIS sailed across the Gulf of Mexico. She has been berthed in Stuart since 2019. The boat has LOW engine hours simply because her owners love to SAIL and race her. Her owners have diligently maintained and upgraded her systems over the years with the intention of cruising the Bahamas and Caribbean. Their circumstances have changed and SEMPER FIDELIS is now being offered for sale.
