Accommodations and Details

About this spectacular Island Packet 380:

ISLA PEQUINA.....imagine living aboard and cruising on this beautiful yacht!

Below deck you'll be impressed with the spacious open feeling. It may be hard to believe you have all this room, storage and comfort on a 38 foot sailboat.

The U-shaped galley is immediately to starboard and is easily accessible to the cockpit and main salon. It has a generous wrap around counter with ample work space, drawers, lockers and laminate lined cabinets. It features a three burner propane stove, microwave oven space (microwave was removed for more galley storage space), double stainless steel sinks, and refrigerator and freezer. Other special features include a slide out trash receptacle, fold-up counter extension, and built in teak dish storage area with teak cutlery drawers. ALL GALLEY WARE CONVEYS WITH BOAT!

The salon is spacious for entertaining guests and comfortable for an intimate dinner for two. The central hinged table may be either secured against the bulkhead or easily lowered to make a large dining area, which easily seats 6 people for dinner. As with all Island Packets, there is an exceptional amount of storage space below and behind the settee sofas. The settee sofa upholstery is meticulously cleaned, keeping ISLA PEQUINA in factory new condition. Both settees are full length for added sleeping area with the port side pulling out to make a nice double berth. The cabinetry is beautiful teak with an oiled finish. The 22 lighting fixtures, most are LEDs, and handrails throughout the cabin are all well placed. Entertainment features include a Sony stereo system matched to two Bose speakers in the salon and two Bose speakers in the cockpit.

The hinged top nav desk is at the aft end of the port side salon settee. You'll find a deluxe, well-labeled electrical panel for all 120 volt AC & 12 volt DC functions and all other breakers. An additional electrical panel has been added and provides extra breakers for future installs. A chart drawer large enough for bound chart packs is provided underneath the settee. There is a handy drawer for navigation tools next to the nav desk top.

The forward owner's cabin has a large walk around center-line island V-berth with access from both sides. The island berth has a 7 1/2" Mariner Deluxe custom mattress by Handcraft Mattress Company with custom innerspring, 2008. The aft end of the berth is mounted on gas support struts and lifts up to reveal a large storage area under the berth. Drawers, storage bins, and a generous cedar-lined locker with shelves provide liveaboard clothing storage. The cabin has a private door to access the head. The teak and holly floor is in factory new condition and includes the Island Packet factory carpet option. All linens are custom fit and will remain with the boat.

The head is generous in size and can be accessed from the forward cabin or the main salon. It features a nice-sized vanity with cabinet below and a deep polished oval stainless steel sink. It has a large overhead hatch, opening port, and several lockers for toiletry items. It also features a full length mirror and a second half mirror on the opposite bulkhead. For showering, there is a fold-down teak seat and plenty of room for standing in this spacious shower area. It is made even more spacious with a clever folding shower stall enclosure that stows against the bulkhead when not in use.

The aft cabin features a large pullman style athwartship bunk with 5" foam cushions and a special built-in hideaway sink. It also features a full length mirror and ample storage with a roomy cedar-lined hanging locker and several teak storage bins. The teak and holly floor is in beautiful condition due to the custom factory carpet kit.

Brokers Comments

The person lucky enough to sail away with this IP 380 will be getting a boat that stands above all other cruising  boats in her class. This vessel is nearly spotless, is well maintained by a knowledgeable owner and she has sailed the past 5 years not languishing in a marina. She has the soul of a sailor still in her and she is ready to keep going anywhere you want to point her bow.

Here is what the current owner said about her:

"I'm sure you hear this all the time, but I hate selling this boat. I know it's my last and she is a sweetheart. She has treated us well and brought us to where we are today so lots of tears. I've been boating all my life, running ferries off shore in the Gulf of Maine in winter, lots of fishing boats and my share of sailing here and there...This 380 is by far the most rugged, able and seaworthy vessel I have ever captained...by far."

If you would like to see this incredible vessel, just give me a call at 941-400-0050. We can set up a showing with the owners in the Bahamas. Should you decide to purchase the vessel, if needed, I can sail the vessel back to Florida or GA from the Abacos for you for a reasonable charge + expenses.
