About the Boat

The Fountaine Pajot Athena is a catamaran that will sail.

"Kit" is very comfortable, safe and because of the owner's additions and maintenance regimen she is very reliable.  Her knowledgeable owners have kept her super clean, kept her equipment updated and operational. Her engines look and run like new because they are! The port engine has zero hours on it, and the starboard has but a 100 hours. Both were completely rebuilt in the past year.

This boat is ideal for sailors who love the thrill of going fast. While the hull is made from solid-glass and intentionally tough for cruising, she is nimble and fast and designed to knife through the water rather than plow through it.

This boat will do an amazing 19kts in a 25 knot wind with sails balanced pulling. The boat at the same time is easy and simple to sail, and is even easier to live aboard.

Her current owners are looking for some new adventures and horizons, so it's time to sell this beautiful boat to someone who will continue to love her and sail her to faraway places.

Accommodations

The Athena Catamaran has 4 staterooms, 2 heads and the large salon and galley are up where you can see and easily move back and forth into the large cockpit.

Mid-salon is a large oval wooden "Paduk" table surrounded by a comfortable semi-circular deep lounge. Off one end of the dinette is the navigation station, at the other the beginnings of a spacious galley with twin sinks, hot and cold water, oven with a three-burner stove, and a tremendous fridge which will hold enough beers to make any thirsty sailor happy.

Only one step-through to the companionway, both indoor and outdoor areas tie together nicely to create a perfect area for outside dining or getting out of the weather.

Step down the companionway at either end of the salon and you descend into the port and starboard hulls. These are surprisingly spacious and have ample headroom. There are twin sized berth cabins at either end, and a great bathroom, not just a head between them. These are bathrooms with a view out the hatch in the hull side, nice washbasins, mirrors, and lots of storage room.

Simple and stylish, the interior of the Athena 38 is low maintenance, with molded surfaces and lots of room below and above in the salon/galley area.
