"Beach House"

1993 Lagoon 37 - Hull #6

$119,000

An outstanding boat at an outstanding value !

Beach House is ready to go cruising! Recently new standing rigging, roller furler, sails, bimini, window coverings and air conditioning, she also has a water-maker and barely used Honda 2000 generator. Two queen staterooms, a double aft berth and two heads make Beach House ideal for two couples or a family. Re-powered with Yanmar 27 horsepower engines, she will get you there faster when under power. Lagoon 37’s also have direct shaft drive rather than the troublesome saildrives. Proudly built in Warren Rhode Island by the men and women of Tillotson Pearson, TPI.

Description

Following the success of the Lagoon 42 in 1991, Jeanneau had designers Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prevost reproduce the winning formulae in a smaller boat. What resulted was the Lagoon 37, as much a down-sized version of the 42, as a striking cruising catamaran in its own right. Developed for private ownership or charter service, the 37 features the Lagoon series’ familiar curvilinear orientation and round, podlike cabin structure. Aesthetically the look is simple and modern. The designers have controlled the tendency of most cruising catamarans under 40 feet to appear ungainly and overfed by sculpting into the hulls a good measure of subtle sheer. Below deck, the contemporary theme is pursued in an airy, well lit, oval shaped salon and in spacious, uncluttered sleeping cabins.

About the Lagoon TPI

Built between 1993-1998, the Lagoon 37' TPI are boats designed with the style and layout quality that accelerated the popularity of the cruising catamaran in the United States. The Lagoon 37's were built by two of the world's leading sailboat builders, Jeanneau and Tillotson Pearson using advanced techniques in the USA utilizing glass cloths, vinyl ester resins, balsa cored construction and leading molding techniques that have been perfected over more than five decades of combined manufacturing experience. The optimized hull construction saves weight and improves performance and sea-keeping.

The high standard of construction is the reason these yachts keep their value! Now is YOUR chance! Only 43 Lagoon 37’s were built!

Layout & Accommodations

Finished in teak trim and white formica below, the interior is bright, cheery, very contemporary and easy to maintain. The main salon features an aft facing U-shaped settee and a dinette that can seat up to eight. Large cabin top windows let in plenty of light, and two opening hatches in the overhead promote ventilation. In “traditional” catamaran fashion, the galley is down in the port hull but open to the salon.

Beach House sleeping accommodations include three cabins, 2 large queen sized berths port and a starboard forward, each with a convenient dressing area and stowage. A smaller double berth cabin is located in the starboard aft hull. The main head, complete with a stand up shower, is built in aft of the galley in the port stern: a second head is located as a walk thru element in the starboard hull amidships. Also in the starboard hull, is the navigation station which includes the electrical panel, a fold down chart table and room for the electronics. Opening hatches provide ventilation and fresh  air in all staterooms as well as in both heads.

The interior is comfortable and the emphasis placed on simplicity. The main salon is a congenial area comprised of a large settee and dinette. The Sleeping quarters forward are spacious and airy. Beach House is a fully cruiseable multihull with great comfort.
