1993 Island Packet 38

The IP38 has a main salon, galley, two staterooms, and two heads. The owner's suite is forward with a large Pullman berth to starboard, starboard bulkhead book cases, and port dresser and hanging locker.  There is a private master head and shower in the bow. Forward of the head is the anchor locker, accessed through double doors. The owner's suite features excellent Dorade ventilation, a ventilating hatch, lots of storage bins, drawers, and additional storage beneath the full mattress.

Aft is the spacious main saloon with a fold-up table on the forward bulkhead. An L-shaped settee to starboard pulls out to make a double berth. Aft is a navigation desk with chart light and an instrument.

To port is a settee and cedar-lined hanging locker. Behind the settee cushions on both sides are compartments offering generous storage.

The aft head is accessible from both the saloon and privately from the aft cabin.  

To starboard of the companionway is the large galley with 3-burner propane stove with oven, double stainless steel sinks, divided refrigerator/freezer with remote thermometers, electronic refer control panel, dc fan, and heavily-insulated refer lid with cutting board.  

To port of the companionway is the entrance to the aft cabin featuring an extra-large berth, reading lights, cabinets, drawers and cedar-lined hanging locker, with storage below the bunk.

The engine, located under the companionway, is insulated with ¾” foil-backed fiberglass and is easily accessible from all three sides.  It has an interior light, a fire port, and an electric oil change system.

• Rainshields from SeaWorthy Goods added to every port light

  SAIL INVENTORY  

• New furling main sail from Mack sails
• Headsail is in fine condition as is the staysail
• Asymmetrical spinnaker in sock in very good condition (also added new turtle bag for ease of raising/lowering, storage)

    STANDING RIGGING

• Rigging given a thumbs up by surveyor
• Chainplates have NOT been replaced but have a deposit to replace them on file with Mack Yacht Services in Stuart if so desired

• Yanmar 4JH4AE with approx. 2300 hours
• Engine passed recent full checkup by marine diesel tech
• Upgraded to 100amp balmar alternator (old Palmar works and is considered a spare)
• New Raymarine type 2 hydraulic auto pilot pump  (old is considered a spare)
• New Raymarine Axiom 9 plus char plotter at helm (all instruments networked to helm)
• New Raymarine depth 
• New Raymarine Wind 
• New VHF with AIS receiver and GPS networked to Axiom
• 200 amp hours Battleborn lithium house bank
• New Victron multiplus 3000 charger / inverter and Victron MPPT solar controller
• Solar prepped and ready for panels 
• Older but functional iPad pro at Nav station for navigation (networks with Axiom)
• Mast head anchor light / tricolor needs either new bulb or replacing.  All other running lights work and have been upgraded to LED
• There is an older Raymarine radar on the mast.  Not hooked up and can’t verify its functionality 
• Windlass functions perfectly with controls at bow and cockpit

   Exterior Condition Comments

• Teak inside in better than average condition with only a few minor spots that could use a sand / re-varnish
• Teak outside is in good shape on most of boat.  It is "unvarnished and gray."  Minor blemishes on rub rail teak and stainless rub rail cap.  
• Topside was professionally cleaned and waxed before listing.
• Hull has typical scratches and blemishes with her age that should buff out.  
• Some bungs are missing from topside teak cap rails which is typical.  New bungs are on the boat ready to be installed.
