Accommodations
Master stateroom forward has a 6'4" long V-Berth with filler piece which conveniently tucks into an overhead storage rack when not in use. Anchor locker access full forward and water tank below. Natural light and air pour through the overhead opening hatch and new polished s/s portlights with screens. Storage abounds with a hanging locker to starboard, drawers to port, and shelving on each side of the berth.

Aft to starboard is the private head with manual saltwater head, vanity with s/s sink and manual fresh water, mirrored bulkhead, ample storage, separate stall shower (used with manual pressure water tank), and an opening polished s/s screened port provides ventilation.

Across from the head and to port is additional storage in a 2nd hanging locker, a drawer, countertop and two cabinets. A Force 10 Propane cabin heater is mounted to the bulkhead.

The salon is bright and spacious with portlights port and starboard and a newer opening hatch w/screen overhead. The bulkhead mounted table folds up and out of the way when not in use. Pull the port and starboard settees out to extend the width of these berths and sleep a 5th crew member in the pilot berth to starboard (now used for stowage). Salon berths are all 6'6" long. NEW Upholstery and foam in 2007/2008. There is enormous storage capability in the dry bilge area under the salon floor. Custom book shelf cabinetry adjacent to the mast. Additional stowage is found in 4 lockers to starboard and 2 lockers with a fiddled bookshelf between to port.

The nav station is aft to starboard with a Z position seat that slides away when not in use. The large chart table flips up accessing chart storage beneath. Plenty of storage for nav aids, plotting tools and books in the fiddled shelves and cubbies. There is a wet locker adjacent and a storage box aft.

The galley is aft to port, conveniently located at the companionway. "At Sea" safe U-shape, loads of storage, and full amenities for cruising. See below for details.

Up the companionway steps is a well designed spacious cockpit. Settees encircle the perimeter providing comfortable seating for a large crew or a comfortable spot to stretch out under the sun, moon, and stars. Deep storage in lockers beneath all settees. 4-Man Liferaft mounted on deck.

Broker Comments & Other Features
The boat has had two owners. Lightly used for 3 seasons '76 - '79 then stored in a shed for 15 years! Current owners bought her in '95 and they have personally spent enormous amounts of effort and time (and money) to make Penobscot what she is today...which is BEAUTIFUL!

"Penobscot" represents the minimalist cruisers ultimate 365 and yet can easily be adapted to being a dockside queen with all the amenities if so desired. She is BY FAR the nicest 365 I've ever been aboard. The only thing 1976 about this boat is her hull ID number! Call today for the complete story on this one of a kind, bluewater capable, Pearson 365. You will be glad you did...there are none finer at any price!
  • Bottom Painted April, 2010 w/Pettit SR Ultima Ablative
  • Bottom was epoxied in 2003 as preventive maintenance
  • Manuals for all systems
  • Survey dated 4/9/2009 reports the boat as "bristol" - a word not often used by a surveyor
