Like New Island Packet 37 - Completely Upgraded and Ready to Go!

Stop running around looking for the perfect bluewater cruiser and just RELAX...you've found her! While RELAX is equipped to sail the world, she hasn't! And it shows! For the last three years, RELAX has gone through a series of comprehensive upgrades bringing her up to "like new" yachting standards. Attention to detail like this is rarely seen on a yacht of this size. For example, the Dodger, Connector, and Bimini are made of Sunbrella Supreme (Glenn Raven's luxury marine waterproof canvas with dual surfaces - Navy blue exterior with a tan underside). All front, side, and overhead windows are done in Strataglass (unlike conventional vinyl), a product that has super clarity, durability and longevity.

The yacht's Custom high capacity 12v electrical system was designed with a master control panel that NEVER requires periodic switching. The "House Side" of the 12v system (consisting of three gel cell-31) is separated and isolated. It connects to a high capacity converter 12v/110v capable of running the 21" HD TV, DVR, the Apple TV, a blender (Pina Colatas?), the microwave, etc. (within reason). The Engine 12v system is composed of (2) two gel cells and is isolated for reliability and safety and solely provides power to start the diesel and operate the Lewmar windlass.

RELAX has a great electronics package including a GARMIN 5008 color multifunction Touch Screen GPS/RADAR unit with BlueChart g2 Vision graphics housed in a Navipod.

Also featured is a Superior Entertainment System, Marine Air Conditioning, High Pressure Inflatable Floor Dinghy and Yamaha 4cycle Outboard, and Adler-Barbour Refrigeration.

The working sails are in very good condition and well maintained. Included is new Ullman cruising spinnaker with an NIH Launch System...a necessity for any proper cruising boat. There is a custom Main sheet Traveler System with control lines lead to cockpit.

There are numerous other extra special features such as brass cabin lights and a amplified Syren's long range Wi-Fi antennae mounted on the radar mast, etc.

If you're looking for a boat that has it all...RELAX may be your next boat. To encourage a timely sale she is priced below the average market value.

All the upgrades, additions, and superlatives are too numerous to mention here, so look at the Full Specs then just..."Relax"...because you just found the right boat!

Truly One of a Kind - Don't Let Her Get Away.

Owner Comments
The Island Packet 37 was conceived in the golden period of fiberglass yacht design. A period when naval architects and boat builders still held close those classic principles about what worked and what did not. Their boats reflected the reality of the sea and the people who sailed on them.
In all 178 IP's were built. In 2001 a 37 owned by Jim Lawless won the Marion 'Bermuda Race' 1st in class & 1st overall.
