Boat being hauled out for a survey
If you are selling your yacht, you may qualify for our unique "Pre-Sale Survey" option. If so, Whiteaker Yacht Sales will pay for 50% of the cost of a full marine survey by a certified NAMS or SAMS surveyor, including 50% of the cost of the haul out.
The purpose of this pre-sale survey is twofold:
(1) The survey will identify any problems that need to be addressed in order to make your yacht more desirable. It is far better for you to discover these items and address them now rather than have "surprises" during the buyer's survey.
(2) We can advertise that a "recent survey is available" and provide a copy of the survey (including any post-survey action that was taken to remedy any problems) to potential buyers. This is extremely rare in the industry and greatly enhances the marketability of your yacht.
Call us today and find out if your yacht qualifies for our cost shared Pre-Sale Survey. It may be the best move you'll ever make when it comes to selling your yacht.

Finding a Marine Surveyor
Whether you're looking for a surveyor for a Pre-Sale Survey or a Pre-Purchase Survey make sure you choose wisely.
A thorough inspection should not be rushed. A good survey should take at least a full day. The surveyor should provide a professionally prepared report that can be accepted by your bank, insurance company, or boat brokerage company.
Be sure your surveyor is either SAMS Certified www.marinesurvey.org or NAMS Certified www.namsglobal.org.
