Great to hear from you. We also enjoyed meeting you, and getting a chance to see another take on the "ideal" Outbound 46 layout. Glad to hear you had enough fun in the Caribbean to come back for another season.
We had a terrific time sailing this winter. We ended up visiting 27+ islands (depending on how you count), and really enjoyed the diverse textures and cultures we encountered. It was great meeting many new friends, both cruisers and islanders.
Callisto performed flawlessly for us, despite a more-than-usually challenging season of winds and waves. She handled everything we encountered with grace and comfort. We were happy to finally encounter the elusive "wind aft of the beam" passage, but had to wait until we left St. Lucia.
We are back in Switzerland for the summer and fall, and Callisto is on the hard at Spice Island Marine on Grenada. Not exactly sure when we will return, probably in early January. The work list for the yard was amazingly short. I think our biggest issue with the boat was the lazy jacks, which weren't really set up correctly. This is really minor, and a tribute to the boat's construction.
We are glad to hear of the strengthening of the dealer network for Outbound. For us, the more success the brand has, the better. We are passionate about Outbounds, and would be happy to share some of that enthusiasm with prospective buyers. It was kind of amazing, the number of people we encountered in the Caribbean who had been on Callisto the two years she was at Annapolis.
