Accommodations
The spacious accommodations provide the perfect combination of comfort, expert craftmanship, and safety at sea. Plus, Delphinus is enhanced with beautiful custom interior upgrades that are unique to this vessel. She has custom teak cabinetry described below and beautiful Navy blue microfiber salon cushions and nav seat with upgraded foam, new in 2007.($4,000)
Beginning forward in the dedicated owner's head is one of the most appreciated features of this yacht; a separate walk-in shower stall with a plexiglass door. No messy curtain or "wet head" found on similar vessels. There is also a built-in shower seat with teak slates. The owner's head also features a large basin/toilet area with plenty of elbow room. In addition to the storage areas above and below the sink, Delphinus features a very nice custom teak medicine cabinet installed on the aft bulkhead.
Next aft is the luxurious owner's stateroom. This is a true stateroom, not an awkward V-berth, and features a generous queen-sized pullman berth to port. You will like the large cedar lined hanging locker, bookshelves above the berth, and locker and drawer storage below. The vanity has also been beautifully converted to an additional storage locker with varnished teak exterior. A custom teak bookcase and teak CD holder have been added.
Next aft is the spacious main salon. This area takes full advantage of the wide beam to provide an expansive main living area. The fold-away bulkhead-mounted table creates the perfect area for dining when down, and folds away for an open airy feeling when up. Behind the table is a nice wine storage area and a magazine rack. An additional teak magazine rack is below the table. Storage areas in the main salon are abundant with large storage lockers under, behind, and above both the port and starboard settees. Shelves with book bars are located outboard of the settees as well. The L-shaped settee to port easily converts to a double berth.
Next aft to port is the cleverly designed galley with everything a gourmet chef will love. Counter space, dish and utensil storage, double sinks, custom fold-up counter extension, and custom teak microwave shelf and cabinet mounted over the sinks are just some of the many features you will appreciate. There is a gimballed LPG stove with oven, a large 6 cu. ft. top-loading refrigerator comparment and excellent flow through ventilation with two portlights and two overhead hatches. The galley is conveniently located next to the companionway and has a hide-away trash bin under the companionway steps.
Aft of the galley is a dedicated nav station in a secure location yet close to the companionway. You'll find plenty of space for electronics plus a large chart table that raises to reveal an additional storage area. There is also storage under the nav station seat.
The aft head is to starboard of the companionway. It is easily accessed from the cockpit or main salon during the day, and provides private access for guests in the aft stateroom at night.
The aft stateroom features a comfortable double berth which can also serve as a sea berth on offshore passages. There is a large cedar lined hanging locker, a storage locker below the berth, and private access to the aft head.
14 opening portlights, 7 opening deck hatches, 2 dorade vents and a solar powered vent provide extraordinary ventilation.
The T-shaped cockpit creates room around the steering wheel while still providing full length cockpit seats to stretch out on. The coaming tops are extra wide for comfortable seating. The molded-in swim platform features a transom shower and fold-down swim ladder.
